Tracker Jacket TYPE1

Each era of vintage tracker jackets carries its own functional thinking. FUKUBORI takes the TYPE-1st — a silhouette that holds the spirit of the postwar years — as its point of departure, pursuing the particular balance of ruggedness and quiet refinement that defines the earliest iterations.

The fabric is a 12oz selvedge denim woven with Ne 8 slub yarn in both warp and weft. Rather than the common approach of using a heavier warp to exaggerate surface texture, we chose yarns that hold themselves back — a restrained harmony in the cloth itself.

Through the eye of a patternmaker, we redefined the necessity that the original designers were reaching for. The endearing awkwardness of vintage has been rewritten into something taut — a jacket that quietly straightens the spine.

The dust of history brushed away. The core of functional beauty hidden within the structure, extracted and brought into daily life. A straightforward garment for the present.
