FUKUBORI — Slack Denim Painter Pants
The SLACK denim painter pants began not with tracing old specifications, but with working through each detail from the ground up — asking why it was made that way in the first place.
The foundation is the 191Z of the 1950s. Its essential structure was taken as a starting point, then shaped into something that sits naturally in everyday life today. From the placement of dot buttons and rivets to the stitch pitch of the flat-felled seams, we searched for FUKUBORI's own optimal point between the rationality of that era and present-day quality.
The tool pocket on the right rear side, sewn in a single continuous pass, is a construction method rare in contemporary manufacturing — one that prioritises structural interest over efficiency. Every detail carries a reason. The character of the SLACK denim is allowed to speak. A pair of trousers made with straightforward conviction.
