The exploration of the M-65 series began with this single garment. While the evolution from the 1st to the 3rd generation is well-documented, FUKUBORI was driven by a deeper question regarding the "invisible transitions" hidden beneath the surface of historical specs.

1. The Raw Charm of the "1st Pattern"

For this piece, we sampled the early 1st Generation model. Situated in the transitional period following its predecessor, the M-51, this version can be seen as "unfinished" as an M-65. Precisely because of this, a single garment contains a diverse mix of sewing specifications, capturing the raw, pure allure of manufacturing in flux.

2. Strength in Transition

• The Shoulder Detail: We focused on the specific bar-tacking found on the epaulette-free shoulders—a hallmark unique to this early period.

• The Choice: We deliberately bypassed the 2nd Generation to avoid the "forced sewing" compromises that began to emerge in later production environments.

• The Result: By eliminating unnatural specifications, we have created a jacket where the rugged power of a transitional era coexists with the refined beauty of a modern functional tool.
